 INTRODUCTION
Prima, Inc., headquartered in Charlottesville, VA, owns two restaurants
in Charlotte, NC: Charleys Restaurant in the Cotswold Village Shops and
Trio Restaurant
near Ballantyne.
HISTORY
Charleys opened in the SouthPark Mall in April 1985, as part of a chain
of 9 restaurants in Virginia and North Carolina. In 1986, a group of
investors established a holding company, Prima, Inc., which purchased
the SouthPark restaurant. Prima, Inc. built a second restaurant,
 Trio,
which opened in January 1992 at the intersection of McMullen Creek
Parkway and Route 51 near Pineville. In January 2001 Charleys moved to
the Cotswold site when SouthPark Mall began a major expansion/
renovation project.
PHILOSOPHY
Prima, Inc., restaurants fulfill the same vision to provide:

David Robinson, General Manager of Charleys Restaurant, has been
in restaurant business for 30 years, including 23 years in management,
and has experience in all aspects of restaurant operations. He has vast
experience in the process of opening restaurants and was involved in
developing
Trio. Dave oversees all operations at Charleys and heads up
the marketing aspects of the company. He is very knowledgeable in
responsibilities in the kitchen and the dining areas and is able to
work along side his employees when the restaurant is busiest. Dave
develops the menu and creates specials. In addition he has built up a
very efficient and successful catering business in the restaurant. He
has trained a dedicated and competent staff and built up a loyal
customer following at Charleys. |
